Project Info

Overlooking the St-Sauveur valley from atop Mont Maribou, this contemporary home is laid out along a narrow ledge with steep slopes above and below. The approach is from the east, with entry, home office, living, dining, kitchen and master bedroom following a hierarchy from more public to more private spaces. A south facing sun deck runs the entire length of the home, completed by a treehouse inspired screened porch. The lower walk-out level accommodates a two car garage, mudroom entry, TV / games room, three guest rooms and two baths. Beyond the screened porch, a sauna sits outside the lower level. Landscaped terraces, a pool with cabaƱa, and a detached garage complete the accessory buildings. A continuous wood clad ceiling plane from the living space out over the deck pulls the eye from the interior to the stunning view beyond. With a mix of dark siding and metal roofing, large south facing glazing, and a stone base, the home feels like an extension of its surroundings.
